FAQ: About Dionne & Bloom 253 Marketing
Where is Bloom 253 Marketing located?
At this time our office is in Puyallup, Washington. We will soon be located in Tacoma, Washington.
Do I need to be in Washington state to work with you?
No. All of our meetings are virtual is we can work with you wherever you live.
How much experience do you have with website design and social media?
I have over two decades of website design (including SEO optimization) and social media marketing and working on the third decade now!
The last person I worked with for social media marketing gave me a lot of advice that is the opposite of what you've suggested. How do I know who is right?
There is no one way to strategize about marketing. If you want to know if a strategy will help make your goals reality, look at your own results. This often includes platform analytics or any data that shows engagement, sales, bookings, or an action taken after your efforts and consistency is received by your audience.
I wish I could hire you to manage my social media but right now I need to do it myself for budget reasons but I don't know where to start. Can you even help me?
Yes! I can help you with an audit, a strategy, content suggestions, and more. I have helped most of my previous and current clients with suggestions that fit your schedule and abilities.
Do I need an ad budget for Google ads or social media marketing?
No. My own marketing is done without paid ads or promoting posts. I often recommend people stay away from boosting/ paying for social media posts to be advertised. My approach mostly involves ways to get you seen without paying for ads.
What if I want something that isn't on the service list?
Feel free to reach out via my contact form and let me know what you need. I’d love to see how I can help you.
FAQ: The Discovery Call
What's the purpose of a 15 minute discovery call?
The purpose of a 15 minute consultation is for you and I to get to know each other. This is just the beginning. During the 15 minutes we can determine if we would be a good fit to work together. You are under no obligation to hire me or buy anything.
Is a discovery call a sales call?
No way. I hate selling as much as you do so no I don’t do sales pitches. The goal is for you to tell me about your project and for us to get to know each other to see if I can help you and if I can, would we be a good fit? If you choose to hire me, it’s up to you to reach out after the discovery call.
What happens after a discovery call?
After the discovery call, unless you express you are not interested, I often follow up by email with a summary of what we discussed per my understanding. I also offer potential next steps, whether that includes working with me or not.
Do I need a website or business plan before scheduling?
Not at all. You are welcome as you are at any stage of your process. If there is any way I can support you on your journey, I’m here for you right now.
What if I can't find a day and time that works?
Reach out using the contact form on the contact page and I’d be happy to find a time that works for both of us.
Are all meetings virtual?
Yes. At this time, all meetings are over Google meets.
FAQ: Coaching
I see you offer social media "coaching". Why would I pay you to tell me how I can do something for free?
No one ever needs to hire anyone for anything. Including me. But people do ask for help from people like me when they have tried social media marketing on their own and seen zero results or when they’ve tried to do it on their own but can’t stay consistent so they see zero results.
Athletes hire coaches when they want to maximize their performance. Especially if they haven’t been able to get there on their own. Business owners who want to improve their reach, make their products or services known, or promote their mission often hire coaches or a professional to help them maximize their efforts.
If I hire you for social media marketing coaching sessions, can I decide to hire you to help with making content?
Absolutely. We can discuss what this would look like and how you’d like me to help you specifically.
Can I pay you on a monthly retainer to reserve time with you every month so I don't lose my spot?
Absolutely. You can say a monthly fee for a set amount of work that we discuss together. This not only reserves your time but keeps the momentum going whether I handle some or all of your content creation, social media management, or website updates.
FAQ: Marketing Audit
What is an audit? It sounds bad.
An audit, at least the ones I offer, are meant to be a good thing. For an audit I look at your social media, or your current website, and measure it to your desired goal for what you’d like it to do for you. So for a social media audit, I analyze your social media presence to determine what’s working, what’s not, and how to improve your future strategy.
What exactly do you audit?
I can audit any means of digital marketing you’ve been working on, even if there isn’t much to go on. This includes your website, social media platforms, google ad campaigns, and email marketing campaigns.
Have a question that isn’t listed here? Feel free to reach out using our form on the contact page.
I’d love to hear from you!
